Slurrp Farm Melty Puffs is marketed squarely at parents of infants and toddlers as a clean, wholesome teething snack. The ingredient list is short and free of artificial colours, flavours, and added salt or sugar — genuine positives in a category flooded with junk. However, the 'Wholegrain Millets and Lentils' claim is the most misleading thing on the pack: corn grits are degermed (not wholegrain), and there is not a single lentil in the product. Sodium sits at 200 mg/100 g which is moderate but worth noting for the youngest consumers, and the presence of rosemary extract (INS 392, a natural preservative) technically pushes the product into NOVA 4 ultra-processed territory despite its otherwise clean appearance. The most useful thing a parent can know: this is a reasonably clean, short-ingredient snack that does not deserve a 'Zero Junk' badge as an ultra-processed food, and the 'lentils' claim on the label is simply false.
