This product is as simple as edible oils get — one ingredient, no additives, no preservatives, and a valid FSSAI licence from a well-known Indian manufacturer. The reason it draws attention is not what's in it but what it inherently is: coconut oil is approximately 82% saturated fat, one of the highest saturated-fat profiles of any common cooking oil, and WHO as well as cardiac and diabetes dietary guidelines flag regular high-dose use as a concern for people with cardiovascular, metabolic, or hypertension conditions. For a healthy adult using it in moderation it is a legitimate culinary oil, but the one sentence every consumer should carry away is: coconut oil's 'natural' halo does not neutralise its saturated-fat burden — portion and frequency matter.
